UVA Health System appreciates your interest in employment and your visit to this site.  Please let us know if you will need a reasonable accommodation to participate in our application or selection process.  As you consider whether to apply for any open position please consider the following information.
 
Prior to employment and as a condition of employment, if you are offered a position, you may be required to submit to drug and alcohol testing, which may be administered by blood test, urinalysis, or other methods, as requested by the company.  Refusal to submit to such testing will result in revocation of the offer of employment.
 
If you are employed, you will be required, as a condition of continued employment, to submit to drug and alcohol testing, which may be administered by blood test, urinalysis, or other methods, as requested by the company.  Refusal to submit to such testing will result in termination of employment.
 
Prior to employment and as a condition of employment, if you are offered a position, you may be required to complete a health screen, which includes being inoculated against certain contagious diseases.
 
If you are employed, you may be required, as a condition of continued employment, to complete health screens from time to time, which include being inoculated against certain contagious diseases.
 
Prior to employment and as a condition of employment, if you are offered a position, you will be required to submit to a background check, which requires a criminal records check, prior employment check and other items.
 
Please understand that your completion of this application does not mean that a job opening exists, does not guarantee that you will be considered for any existing opening and does not obligate the UVA Health System to employ you.
 
In the event you are employed, you may be assigned to any shift, whether day or night, and your employment will be contingent upon your willingness to work whatever shift is assigned.  Similarly, if you are employed, you may be assigned to any location and your employment will be contingent upon your willingness to work in whatever location is assigned.  Both shifts and locations may be changed from time to time and you may be required to work overtime and to undertake special work assignments that may differ from your regular job description.
